What was once Lowry Air Force base is
rapidly being transformed into a vital new center of education,
employment, recreation and neighborhood living. A nostalgic "main street" layout
will enhance this collection
of low-rise, pedestrian-friendly retailers such as Albertson's,
convenience retail, and small user office space to be located on
the 2nd floor of the Town-Center all located adjacent to the Lowry
Business Park
Lowry
Town Center is the only retail center within the 1,866 acre
redevelopment of the former Lowry Air Force Base. Upon completion,
Lowry will house approximately 10,000 new residents, over 12,000
day-time workers and up to 20,000 students at the education
campus. The project will also feature nearly 800 acres of open
space which will connect all areas
of Lowry.
The
Redevelopment of Lowry is a unique project as one of the first
mixed-use, master planned urban developments in the heart of
metropolitan Denver. This central location provides easy access to
major interstate highways, major business centers, cultural
amenities and Denver International Airport. Additionally, the
Business Park is within walking distance to the residential
development, the Town Center and the educational campus.
